LOCATION. WHERE WE ARE
Campus Malaca is located in an up-market residential area, Cerrado de Calderon, some 15 minute’s bus ride from Malaga’s historic centre and 10 minutes’ walk down to the fantastic Pedregalejo beach area.
Just 50 metres below the Campus is a commercial area with banks, shops, chemists, restaurants, bars and a supermarket.
There are some great views towards the sea and the mountains.
Andalucian’s modern motorway network makes it easy to visit the other great Andalucian cities (Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada, Ronda) on our excursions at the weekend and also to cross over into Africa and visit Morocco for a weekend.
Pedregalejo/El Palo. 10 minutes’ walk from the school, this unspoilt, former fishing village, is a pedestrianised area stretching for some 3km along the beach front from the Baños de Carmen – an historic bathing station famous for its fantastic sunsets – to El Tintero fish restaurant with its theatrical “auctions” of the day’s catch, freshly grilled or fried.
This is probably our students’ favourite area in Malaga. Here you can eat the freshest fish and seafood, enjoy a great breakfast as the beach area starts to come to life, a sun-downing cocktail at the other end of the day and tapas, pizzas, steaks or salads for the days when you want a change to seafood.
You can watch sports on TV screens, you can buy hand-made jewellery from improvised stalls, meet friends, read a book and watch the world go by: it might be running, cycling, skating or just walking – but you can be sure that everyone is enjoying themselves.
